HTM 02-01 toxic waste gases extract
In response to population growth and increased operation numbers, the James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has completed the extension and refurbishment of its theatres complex at the James Paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth.
Morgan Sindall installed state-of-the-art theatre facilities, upgraded existing services, and created new patient recovery areas alongside the existing theatres.
The new facility includes three operating suites, trolley bays, ward areas, waiting and recovery areas, all fitted out with Cableflow SOLO bedheads.
The theatres are now equipped with the latest ventilation systems providing maximum flexibility for surgical procedures, including major surgery should the need arise. The Cableflow SOLO 5 medical supply unit was designed into the scheme and incorporates waste gases extract ductwork with low level extract. This concept provides the extract ductwork in the patient environment in a neat bedhead enclosure and negates the need to enter the wall structure.
The SOLO 5 was designed in varying sizes to meet the extract volumes required by the demands of the varying cubic areas as well as all essential patient care services covering mains power, medical gas, nurse call system, data, patient monitoring and lighting control at the bedhead.
