Experience and feedback over the last 20 years since initial deployment tells us that our general Cableflow bedhead containment system utilised across your estate is performing as well today as it did when the project was first completed.
At Cableflow we have invested heavily over recent years in R&D and within the back drop of the 2023 RoHS Directive banning the sale of tri-phosphur lamps.
Our R&D has focused on developing an LED replacement pack for this product which, and importantly, maintains the original CIBSE LG2 performance efficacy of the product from a replacement pack. This LED pack design and performance is already proven in our current product offer having been incorporated into project manufacture for more than 3 years.
As a significant facilities management benefit, this component provides a re-lamping solution from Cableflow as the original manufacturer which is up to date with the most recent performance and Regulatory requirements.
Where the original TL5 integral tri-phosphur lighting component may be coming to the end of it’s useful life and requiring replacement or, you one of many estates considering upgrading to LED fittings partly due to the RoHS Directive limitations on replacing TL5 tri-phosphur lamps.
Additionally we have developed this retrofit solution to be more energy efficient, for example:
- 28w Reading light originally requiring 31.1w of power – now replaced with an LED array consuming 19.1w
- 54w Uplight light originally requiring 60.0w of power – now replaced with an LED array consuming 29.4w
- 80w Uplight light originally requiring 88.9w of power – now replaced with an LED array consuming 40.0w
Having been successfully incorporated into new product manufacture our purpose designed and manufactured retrofit LED pack is now commercially available for the purposes of TL5 replacement on pre-installed schemes.
