Milton Keynes University Hospitals new £15m cancer centre has opened to patients, bringing significant improvements to treatment and supporting the local area by amalgamating previously spread out services. Prior to the opening of the centre, the services now provided under a single roof were spread across three sites.
The new site features outpatients, procedure and specialist treatment rooms, a 24-bed inpatient ward, a chemotherapy suite and 11 clinic rooms and where Cableflow medical supply units have been incorporated in every clinical and in-patient location, all designed to support patients and make treatment as comfortable and caring as possible.

The new centre means MKUH can better support each and every cancer patient, providing most of the cancer services they need in an excellent environment. It will provide a dedicated space offering treatment and a wide range of information and support services to anyone affected by cancer, all within a comfortable and welcoming environment that is also appropriate for patients’ families.
