Cableflow WAVE overbed healthcare luminaires have bene installed in the prestigious Hamad Medical Corporation TB-Communicable Disease Centre, a 65-bed infectious diseases hospital situated in Rumailah, Qatar.
Replacing an existing facility, the main building consists of four floors and offers an in-patient unit, as well as other associated facilities required for treating TB. A focus on immunology and infections will assist with data collection and enable the facility to play a key role in supporting Qatar’s national public health initiatives.
CIBSE (SLL) LG02 compliant healthcare lighting solutions were required in the variety of in-patient accommodation and other clinical procedure locations across the facility and the Cableflow WAVE was chosen by the client.
WAVE provides an LED Uplighter/Downlighter configuration of product with each portion of the luminaire individually switchable on either switch/DIM, DALI or DSi interface protocols. Manufactured exclusively by Cableflow in the UK the WAVE provides a slim curved profile, free from fixings, UV rated polycarbonate diffusers with accurately controlled luminance to reach the stringent requirements of 700cd/m2 (max) and within an extruded aluminium enclosure finished in a polyester powder coated supported by an 30 year Applicators Guarantee.
