The Highland Hospice at Inverness is the only hospice serving adults with incurable life limiting disease in the Highlands of Scotland and 13th December 2016 welcomed HRH The Earl of Inverness to formally open the new Highland Hospice.
The new Hospice provides a brand new Inpatient Unit as well as the fully renovated Day Therapies Centre in the £7.6m build completed by Morrison Construction.
The sensitive nature of palliative care sought a design which would provide a homely and comforting environment for patients and close family members alike. The Cableflow Dr Su medical supply unit was chosen at the outset to provide essential patient care services at every bedhead on the scheme, whilst integrating with the room décor and other joinery items.
Dr Su is a bedhead containment solution manufactured in a variety of bespoke formats to suit any healthcare facility requirement. The product solution integrates power, data, nurse call, wall wash lighting and medical gases in a semi concealed configuration behind each bed location, contributing towards a pleasant patient environment but where essential services are easily at hand.
In this application at Highland Hospice the Dr Su provided all essential patient care services covering mains power, medical gas, nurse call system, data, patient monitoring and lighting control at the bedhead.
