Constructed by Balfour Beatty the new £15m Skye, Lochalsh and South West Ross Community Hospital and Healthcare facility based in Broadford on the Isle of Skye has been handed over on time to commence community delivery of essential healthcare services in the area in 2022. The new NHS Highland facility features a variety of departments including Emergency, X-ray, Maternity and Outpatients containing an Infusion Suite and Physiotherapy gym. The top floor will be utilised by a 24 bed inpatient unit and a state-of-the-art renal facility on the ground floor offering exceptional views across the waterfront and beyond.
Cableflow medical supply units and Renal RO enclosure systems have been deployed site-wide on the project following the successful integration of similar Cableflow RO enclosure systems on previous NHS Highlands projects. Bespoke renal units were designed and manufactured for this project that integrated with a wider joinery assembly and embraced and enhanced the spectacular views whilst ensuring regulatory governance requirements were met.
