Cableflow are pleased to report securing the contract to supply our new SmartER Wall flush mounted bedhead services system to the £600m Southmeads Hospital Project in North Bristol, being developed by Carillion Plc for North Bristol Hospitals NHS Trust.
This exciting new product embraces a completely new concept in the provision of patient care services at the bedhead whilst adopting innovation in installation and ongoing use as the key design facets.
The new state-of-the-art 832 acute bed hospital will be a showcase healthcare development and is being built on the current 27 hectare site adjacent to the existing Southmeads campus in North Bristol. The BDP designed project amalgamates the existing Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals into one new development and is one of the most ambitious PFI schemes to be delivered in the UK which will see its first patients arriving during 2014.
The scheme embraces new technologies across the site and will be delivered in just 64 months. Cableflow installation work has already commenced on site and will run through until mid 2013 before handover commissioning commences.
This contract win follows on from successful PFI projects delivered between Cableflow and Carillion at Darent Valley Hopsital in Dartford and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where products were used extensively throughout the acute and support services areas.
